Recognition Ceremony and Reception

During Commencement Weekend each May, the Department of German Studies celebrates its graduating majors and minors and honors outstanding students who have excelled in their coursework, earned departmental honors, received scholarships or fellowships, and made special service contributions to the program.

Students graduating in May, August, or December will receive details about the event from the Director of Undergraduate Studies.

Teaching interests: the German transatlantic experience, German literature of the modern era, introduction to contemporary German-speaking Europe

Research interests: World War I Immigrant poetry published in the United States, immigrant identity formation, cultural transfer
